About Me
My journey began with the birth of my first daughter. I had what I thought was a typical hospital birth, an induction with an epidural. Little did I know, my “typical birth” would result in trauma that would leave me physically injured and mentally disempowered as a new mother.
This inspired me to seek answers before the birth of my second child. Through Reiki and the guidance of a wonderful postpartum doula, I was able to process, understand and heal what I had been through.
The result? My second birth experience was the complete opposite of my first - unmedicated, calm and incredibly fast! It ultimately changed the way I view birth and inspired me to help other women discover their radiance and power through birth and postpartum.
When I am not supporting other Mamas, you can find me with my nose in a book or chasing around my two toddlers and our beloved Mini Berneedoodle in Redondo Beach, CA.

The practice was developed in the early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui, who believed that energy flows through every living being and that balancing this energy is essential to overall wellness. In a reiki session, a practitioner channels healing energy through their hands to the client, which many describe as feeling calming, warm, and deeply restorative.
How Reiki Works for Healing
Reiki works by balancing the body's energy fields, promoting a deep state of relaxation, and activating the body’s natural healing processes. During a session, the practitioner may gently place their hands on or just above specific areas of the body to help clear energy blockages, reduce stress, and support healing. Distance Reiki allows practitioners to transmit healing energy to someone even if they are not physically present. Here is how it generally works in a virtual session over Zoom:
Connecting with Intention: We begin by setting a shared intention for the healing. This intention helps to establish a clear energetic link between us.
Guided Relaxation: Helps quiet your mind, which can enhance sensitivity to energy.
Channeling Energy: The client may feel warmth, tingling, or a sense of peace and calm. Though some people may not feel anything physical, they might notice mental or emotional shifts as the energy flows.
Feedback and Reflection: We debrief to share any impressions, sensations, or emotional shifts that occurred.
